In 2011, the KnuckleBonz Rock Iconz statues attempted to capture The Who in their live performances from the early 1970s. Holding the microphone high overhead, Roger Daltrey poses as he did in performances during the 1970s. The Who comes to you as a hand-painted, numbered, limited edition statue of 3,000 pieces with a certificate of authenticity printed on the bottom of the base. The figure is approximately 1/9 scale, or about 9 inches tall, and is officially licensed and approved by The Who.
The Who are many things to music fans. To some, they are the first punks; to others, they represent the marriage of pop art and music or the ultimate rock opera. But for me, the power and energy of their live performance are what still makes The Who stand out as one of rock's best that spans decades," says Tony Simerman, President and Creative Director of KnuckleBonz, Inc. "Our statues attempt to capture The Who live from the early '70s." During Roger's 40+ years with the group, The Who became one of the most influential bands of the rock era and possibly the greatest live band ever.
