Introduced in the album art of Disturbed's debut 1997 album, The Sickness, The Guy is a spirit or ghost who dwells in a plane of existence outside that of the mortal world, watching as decadency, oppression, and capricious violence fester in a world broken by unbound capitalism and war-mongering.
